Grails is an outstanding Java web framework that takes the best ideas from Ruby on Rails, and builds it all on top of a rock solid Spring/Hibernate foundation. This is the single Java web framework that has really piqued my interest over the past 6 months. Great to finally see it reach the 1.0 milestone - could 2008 be the year where it actually starts to gain some real world traction?
